31 Days to Clean, The Reboot

Last summer, I became acquainted with SarahMae.com. My interest was piqued when she published an eBook called 31 Days to Clean--Having a Martha House the Mary Way. It was a Bible Study that also included a cleaning task for each day. I purchased this eBook with every intention on attacking the grime with gusto. Well, I didn't.

So today, I get an email from Sara Mae's site that says:

Well, I’ve decided to go through 31 Days to Clean here on my blog. But not exactly.

Tyndale is going to be publishing the book and I need to beef it up and revise it, therefore I’m going to be cleaning and writing during June…and I’d like your help.

Okay, let’s get this party started! I’ll put a list of challenges up every morning (Mon-Fri) beginning Monday, June 4th. Let’s do this!

Also, if you would like a copy of 31 Days to Clean, you can get the PDF for 50% off with code: Reboot

If you want to make sure you don’t miss a day, you can get the articles sent your email by clicking here or RSS by clicking here.

She has issued a challenge. I'm gonna try it again this time. Now, in the interest of full disclosure, I will be out of town 10 days in June. I will start with the first few days, then be on hiatus for 10 days, then back to the study.

Are you interested in joining the challenge? If so, please head over here. She has a hilarious video there too.

Who, Me? Excuses?

I have used all of these excuses at some point in my adult life.

December 26, 2011 was a turning point for me. I joined Weight Watchers Online and started walking, using Leslie Sansone's Walk at Home DVD's. I was so out of shape that I couldn't walk one mile without stopping multiple times and gasping for air.

Today, with the support of my wonderful husband, Rodney and kids, my Eastern NC Fit Chicks (Crystal, Stephenie, Tabitha, and Isa), and the inspiration of my dear sister, Erica, I am 58 pounds lighter and walk anywhere from 5-8 miles per day, five days per week!

No excuses. Just do something. Get up and move!

Mel, over at The Daily Mel, announced a new giveaway on Fit Friday. She has an awesome review of a new scale from EatSmart Products. Here's an excerpt from her post:

A couple of weeks ago, the EatSmart™ folks sent me one of their Precision GetFit Digital Body Fat Scales to try out.  It has a lot of same features I love about my Precision DigitalBathroom Scale — step on technology, large display, sleek design, etc.  So, what makes this one better?  Information!  All I could get on my previous EatSmart™ scale was my weight, which is fine if that’s all you want.  However, if you are interested in a more complete picture, the Precision GetFit Digital Body Fat Scale will definitely give you that!  Here’s the information you’ll get:

  • weight
  • body fat percentage
  • body water  percentage
  • body muscle percentage
  • bone mass

What's NOT to like, right? This sounds like a great tool to use in my "Battle of the Bulge." I hope you will head over to Mel's site and check out the review of this scale. Also head over to the EatSmart site. I have heard great things about their products. Let me know what you think!
